Growing
Together in Christ
Over the past few weeks there have been opportunities to explore the practical
application of the principles of communion and mission for our Deanery
and the wider Diocese. The key question is:
What do
you want to grow and develop in your Parish and Deanery? Why? The opinions
of those who were unable to participate in the meetings are not being
ignored. Enclosed with this week’s newsletter is a sheet which individuals
or families, including children, can complete. There are no wrong answers
or trick questions. The ‘purple book’ is a resource to help
us. No names are necessary. Please note your thoughts and hand them in
at the Parish Office or send them to Park Place.

support and generosity. |

a strong Youth Group who selflessly give their time pushing wheelchairs,
pulling voitures or assisting at the Accueil Notre Dame. Any young people
aged 17 – 25 years interested in going to Lourdes as a helper are
asked to speak to Father Chris or Jane Cadogan.

THE UNION
Thought for the Week
Jesus in calling Lazarus from the tomb brought him back to physical life.
We are brought to a new spiritual life at our baptism where we died with
Christ and are raised to new life through his resurrection. Jesus made
it a proactive scene by asking the onlookers to unbind Lazarus and set
him free.
Perhaps there is someone
in your family or among your friends or colleagues who has done something
to hurt you or something that you cannot condone. Have you bound them
through your unforgiveness and negative attitude? Have you stifled their
growth through your behaviour? Jesus is asking us to unbind them with
our forgiveness and he tells us that we must do it not once but seven
times seven. Let not this Lent pass by without us freeing them and enabling
them to grow in their relationship with you, with their family/colleagues
and most importantly, with God.
