THE UNION
Thought for the Week
The road to Emmaus teaches us so much about our Christian Faith –
Jesus meets, greets, walks with, shares and eats with His disciples.
Jesus sets this example
before us as the way to bring about His Kingdom, meeting, greeting, walking,
sharing and eating with all people, for it is in that sharing that we
can come to know others and come to speak of God and His love for us –
telling His story of salvation through the Scriptures.
Father
Andrew Chandler
| Thank
you
Father Chris, Father Andrew, Father Richard, Father Charles, Father
Tony and Deacon Langford would like to thank all in the Parish for
their cards and kind wishes at Easter. |
Thanks
from Paul Hayward
“Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Parish,
I couldn’t let
the moment pass without thanking everyone for their warm and friendly
welcome into the Catholic Faith over the Easter Vigil. I shall always
remember the beauty of my Confirmation as a Catholic and will do my best
to be worthy of the faith and trust that everyone has shown me, especially
Father Chris……It is comforting to me to be a member of the
Faith that I believe is my way forward with God and whilst similar to
the Anglican Church my experience thus far has proved to me that I have
made the right decision.
My new journey
has begun and I can’t think of a better place to start from than
our Parish. I, like us all, have been saying special prayers for Pope
John Paul as his teachings, along with the light of Jesus, inspired me
to take the first step on my journey with you.”
