Accommodation Required
A mature, professional, non-smoker, clean and tidy is looking for a place where she can relax after work. She would like a double room in central Fareham, in a clean and friendly home. She is not there very often as at weekends, she goes back to Bristol. If you can help, please contact Elena on 07711 371700. Elena has to move from her present accommodation as the landlord and his wife are divorcing and selling the house. Elena has to leave by the end of September.

THE UNION
Thought
for the Week
The depth of God’s love for the world becomes fully revealed in the death of Jesus on the cross. Through the self-emptying obedience of Jesus, the cross, a sign of ignominy, becomes a sigh of exaltation – of Jesus himself whom God lifts up in glory and of all of us who gaze on the cross in faith and are lifted up to eternal life.
The human tendency is to flee that which brings pain, suffering and death. The mystery of the cross challenges us to enter these as the means to life.

Before the Crucifix
When one stops to pray before a crucifix with his glance fixed on that pierced side, he cannot but experience within himself the joy of knowing that he is loved and the desire to love and to make himself an instrument of mercy and reconciliation.
