Monday –
Bless the Lord, all you his angels, mighty in power, you obey his word and heed the sound of his voice. Glory be … (Repeat Antiphon)
Tuesday – The book of the law must be ever on your lips; reflect on it night and day. Observe and do all that it commands: then you will direct your life with understanding. Glory be … (Repeat Antiphon)
Wednesday - The Lord nurtured and taught her; he guarded her as the apple of his eye. As the eagle spreads its wings to carry its young, he bore her on his shoulders. The Lord alone was her leader. Glory be… (Repeat Antiphon)
Thursday – Bless the Lord, all you angels of the Lord. Sing his glory and praise for ever. Glory be… (Repeat Antiphon)
Friday - O Lord, you had just cause to judge men as you did: because we sinned against you and disobeyed your will. But now show us your greatness of heart, and treat us with your unbounded kindness. Glory be… (Repeat Antiphon)

THE UNION
Thought
for the Week
Many of the narratives and parables have described the graciousness, generosity and mercy of God towards us. This Sunday highlights the importance of our response to God: whether we do God’s will or not is our choice.
Change is difficult for everyone – house, job, schools, marital status, etc. Even more difficult is change of self – values, beliefs, attitudes, behaviours. As difficult as change is, it defines Christian discipleship.
From Living Liturgy
Carolyn Stone RIP
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Carolyn Stone, who died recently. Please also remember Michael and Carolyn’s family and friends in your prayers.
Blessing of Animals
A Service of blessing and intercession for animals takes place on Sunday 5th October at 3.30pm in St Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Middle Road, Park Gate. Tea, coffee and treats afterwards in the Paray Room. All welcome with your (well-behaved) pets! Further details from Margaret Harrington on 01329 843205.
Sacred Heart Choir CD
In July the choir recorded a CD which they have called “Prayer and Praise”. It has 15 pieces of choral music on it that they have sung during the last year and which formed the programme for their concert in France. It was mainly recorded in St John’s Cathedral, Portsmouth by kind permission of Canon David Hopgood and will be available for purchase this weekend. The aim is to raise funds for future music in the parish and to contribute towards the costs of redecorating the Sacred Heart Church. The CD is priced at a very reasonable £5.00 so why not treat yourself!

Could Extraordinary Ministers of Communion make arrangements for transport of sick and elderly parishioners whom they visit, where appropriate. Angels
These angels can fly because they are not regulated by the gravity of the earth’s material things but by the gravity of the Risen One’s love; and that we would be able to fly if we were to step outside material gravity and enter the new gravity of the love of the Risen One.
