| First Fridays
There will be no First Friday day of devotion for the month of January. We will resume on the First Friday of February 2010. A big thank you to Fr Peter Glas for all the time he has given to this monthly day of retreat in his very busy schedule.
Parish Office
The Parish Office is closed until Wednesday 6th January 2010.
Entrance Antiphons for this week
Monday - These innocent children were slain for Christ. They follow the spotless Lamb and proclaim for ever: Glory to you, Lord.
Tuesday – I will raise up for myself a faithful priest; he will do what is in my heart and in my mind, says the Lord.
Wednesday - When peaceful silence lay over all, and night had run half of her swift course, your all-powerful word, O Lord, leaped down from heaven, from the royal throne.
Thursday – A child is born for us, a son given to us; dominion is laid on his shoulder, and he shall be called Wonderful-Counsellor.
Friday - Hail, holy Mother! The child to whom you gave birth is the King of heaven and earth for ever.
Saturday - Extraordinary Rite Mass |
Extraordinary Rite Mass
10.30am Mass on Saturday of this week will be celebrated in the Extraordinary Rite.

Hospital Stay
Should you or a member of your family be taken into hospital for a routine operation or rest care, please let us know at the Parish Office. Although you may register your details at the hospital and include your religion as Catholic, this information is not automatically relayed to the Parish. The same applies if you are taken into hospital as an emergency. A relative or friend needs to let us know. If you are moved to another ward, this is not automatically conveyed to us, and even upon inquiry at your original ward, they will not necessarily tell us to where you have been moved. If the hospital authorities fail to offer you the opportunity of spiritual support, they are contravening the NHS guidelines for the spiritual needs of patients and staff. Please also let us know when you have returned home. Visits can be arranged and Holy Communion brought to you at home, but only if we know you have been released from hospital.
Used Postage Stamps
Please bring your used postage stamps to church. These are sent to the Scout Association to raise funds for the Trust that provides holiday homes for handicapped scouts (boys and girls). The box is in the entrance hall.
