SACRED HEART CHURCH CHOIR
Three and a half years ago, John Bolwell, at that time a new parishioner, started up the current choir at Sacred Heart Church. Over these years the choir has been a remarkable addition to our worship at Mass. Now, due to personal family concerns and commitments, he has had to step down from this role for the foreseeable future. I would like to thank John for all his very hard work. This choir is the envy of many. Richard Dewland will be stepping into John’s shoes and he will be performing the remarkable feat of playing the organ, leading the choir and keeping his young children entertained all at the same time! A big thank you to both John and Richard and the choir. Father Joe

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY
Pope John-Paul II established this feast to be celebrated by the whole Church on the first Sunday after Easter. Father Peter Glas will lead a solemn service for the Solent Pastoral Area in St Mary’s Church, High Street, Gosport on Sunday 11th April at 2.00pm, finishing with the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3.00pm. Everyone is welcome.

THANKS FROM DIANE DINAN
“Now that I have arrived home in Somerset after my mum’s funeral (Doreen Hayward), I should like to offer the sincere thanks of my family and myself to all those involved in making it such a beautiful occasion – to Father Joe, to Joan and to Michele – and I thank you. You all did a splendid job, got everything right and were so helpful. I was very worried about how it would all turn out as it all had to be arranged over the phone and from such a distance, but I need not have worried as it was obviously in very capable hands. Thank you all so much.” Diane, Jacqueline and Deborah.
