PARISH DAY
We are planning to hold an open day for the Parish on 4th July on St Philip Howard/St Jude’s Site. This will be the last occasion when we will be able to call ourselves a ‘Parish’ before the Pastoral Area becomes a single Parish in September. The day will be a wonderful opportunity for us all to gather together, rain or shine, to have fun, be entertained and celebrate what we have in the Parish of Fareham and Portchester.

SACRED HEART CHURCH
It is wonderful to praise God in our beautiful and resplendent church of Sacred Heart. We owe special thanks to Dave Renshaw and his team who have performed this work to a very high standard. Dave’s craftsmanship can be seen throughout the whole church as well as in the many details he has highlighted.
We have been able to carry out this work due both to a specific bequest left to the Parish and the many fund raising activities of parishioners some time ago. Once again, it shows the faith within our community is strong and full of the Holy Spirit. |
SS PETER AND PAUL
Tuesday of this week, the Solemnity of Ss Peter and Paul, is a Holyday of Obligation. Mass will be celebrated at 9.30am and 7.00pm in Sacred Heart Church.
LIFT TO MASS
A lady living at Elson would appreciate a lift to Mass. If you are able to help, please notify Joan at the Parish Office.
SCOUTS – URGENT APPEAL
“To all parents and friends of 15th Fareham Scout Group. Following the recent AGM no-one came forward to fill the post of Group Chairman. We have two months – that is until the end of term – before the District steps in to consider whether the Group can continue. It is a requirement of scouting that we have a Chair, Treasurer and Secretary as well as Section Leaders. Please contact me by 2nd July if you would be prepared to put yourself forward or if you have someone you would like to nominate for this position. I look forward to someone responding to this further appeal or, quite frankly, we are in serious jeopardy!! Yours in Scouting – Andrea Barnes, GSL – tel. 01329 283620.”
UCM have invited a member of the Air Ambulance to speak at their meeting on Monday 28th June at 8.00pm in Sacred Heart Hall - £3.00 donation. All welcome.

We will think about Mary as the Mother of our community. Come and pray with us on Friday 2nd July at St Mary’s Church, Gosport beginning with coffee/tea at 10.00am in the Upper Room. We finish with the Divine Mercy chaplet at 3.00pm. For further details, ring Rebecca on 023 9238 1802.
