The Choir of the Sacred Heart
The choir of the Sacred Heart has resumed its musical lead of the 09:00 Sunday Mass. We again invite/urge anyone who has any musical interest, to join rehearsals at 19:30 on Tuesday evenings at the Sacred Heart.
Do not be afraid - this is an opportunity for much fun and fulfilment; just turn up.

The St. Philip Howard Choir
As well as the choir that sings at 9am Mass at Sacred Heart the parish also has two other choirs. One sings at 6pm Evening mass at Our Lady of Walsingham, Portchester and the other at the 11am Mass at St. Philip Howard church.
The St. Philip Howard choir meets for practice at 7.45 every Tuesday evening at St. Philip Howard church. Once a month the choir is accompanied by the Parish Musical Group, comprising of clarinet, flute and guitar. New members for both groups are always very welcome, enquiries can be made to the choir leader at St. Philip Howard, Chris Lane on 01329 310785, or just come along and join us.
Choir practices are always great fun and very friendly. The music that is sung is mixture of old favourites and modern hymns and some 2 or 4 part harmonies are used to enhance the music.

Our Lady of Walsingham Choir
Our Lady of Walsingham choir is very small but tries to enhance the mass with its music. Sometimes we have guitars and sometimes piano. However at the moment due to injury we have to sing unaccompanied. We are always happy to have new choir members (or an additional organist/ pianist would be great). We don’t have a practice as such, but if there are new pieces to be learnt we get together after the Saturday evening mass.
